It was great to see the AWS user group Lisbon kick off again this week after a long hiatus due to Covid-19. I and my tecRacer colleagues took the lead in hosting the event, and it was a pleasure to see the room full once again.

We were fortunate to have Bruno Quintas from AWS join us as a speaker, discussing the topic of "API Gateway+Lambda Custom Authentication." Additionally, I had the opportunity to present on the topic of "Solving persistence in modern container-based architectures." It was fantastic to see so much engagement and interest from the attendees.

The goal of the AWS user group Lisbon is to bring the AWS community in Portugal together and to have more frequent meetups where we can learn from experts and share our experiences and ideas about what can be achieved with the power of AWS cloud. It was great to see some new faces at the event, a sign that AWS is continuing to grow in Lisbon.

Overall, it was a fantastic event, complete with popcorn and pizza to set the mood. But more importantly, it was the people that made it truly special, and I'm happy to see the community coming together again. Here's to many more successful user groups in the future!
